Rare Toys

Children with rare diseases such as NF1 can feel overwhelmed and isolated during their diagnosis, creating barriers to understanding their condition and how their treatment can help. As well as impacting their mental health at a vital time in their life. 
Up to 65% of children with NF1 also have learning difficulties, making education about their condition difficult to comprehend.

We created a set of 50 unique toys that act as a guide for children through their NF1 journey. The toys turn any mobile device into an interactive experience that brings the figures to life in a fun and engaging way. When placed on the screen, animated floor
environments and audio of our character give the sense of them talking through stages of treatment.

NF1 is a variable condition, unique and different as the children themselves. To reflect this we created 50 unique designs that
were as unique as the children.
