The current watch and wait protocol for NF1-related plexiform neurofibromas (PNs) can create issues. Growth can cause pain and risks from compression. Proactive treatments can help stop PNs growing and prevent untold damage to children. However HCPs are unaware of the benefits early intervention can bring.    

We depicted PNs as instantly recognizable pop-culture icons in their infancy – cute, yet menacing. These characters though small, hinted at their potential to grow into something far more dangerous, mirroring the unpredictable growth of PNs. Helping to emphasise the need to act early.
